About Me!
Hi! My name is Dorian. I am a multidisciplinary artist with focus in acting and painting. I primarily like to use my arts to connect to others and nurture a sense of understanding between myself, my collaborators, and my audience. I find the most fulfillment in exposing beauty in what some may find mundane, weird, or creepy, and making a joke of the status quo. My biggest inspirations include the trans experience, departure from the gender binary, nature, folklore, and platonic love.
In a wider scope, I have a deep love and curiosity towards the world around me. Outside of my arts, I love hiking, building community, national parks, Dungeons & Dragons, and bugs. I try to get out and adventure as much as I can, and make a conscious effort to use it as inspiration for my work. In my love for the natural world, I work as an educator at the Michigan Science Center doing live demonstrations, planetarium voiceover, and teaching labs and creative engineering activities. Affectionately dubbed 'World's #1 Yearner' by my friends, I am a very heady person with far too much passion to keep inside. You can see more about my personal side quests in the slide gallery below :-)
